Carole Ann & Andy

Updated: Feb 11, 2021

A story of a maid of honor and a best man destined to be together.

Carole Ann and Andy had known each other for 3 and a half years when they got married. Carole Ann's sister and brother-in-law had two weddings and she met Andy at their first wedding in January of 2016. The first time they laid eyes on each other was when Carole Ann was walking down the isle at her sister's wedding. She was the maid of honor, and Andy was the best man. He had been best friends with the groom since 3rd grade.

The two got engaged at Carole Ann's family's lake property at a family holiday party. She spent the morning running around helping get the food and decor ready. She went to pick up a food platter and while she was gone, her sister, brother-in-law, and Andy's brother arrived as a surprise. After lunch, all 5 of them went for a walk around the lake and Andy's brother, Scott took pictures. When they got to the top of the dam, Andy gave her a small gift bag and said it was her Christmas present. Inside was an ornament with her initial. She started laughing with her sister about it, and attempted to smack him on the head with the ornament when he pulled the ring box out of his pocket and knelt down. That's where he asked her, and she said yes!

They knew they were going to be together when they started talking about future plans together instead of individually.

The two had an intimate first look, and enjoyed talking and laughing together before their beautiful church ceremony.

The part that sticks out the most about their wedding day happened when they got to the reception venue. Dinner was waiting for them in the house, away from all of the guests. Her sister and brother-in-law were there and were trying to bustle her dress so she could sit and eat. It finally got figured out so they could both enjoy their dinner.

For their honeymoon, they went to Walt Disney World! Their favorite part of the trip was dinner at California Grill. Their reservation was just before the nightly fireworks started at Magic Kingdom. Their waiter made sure they had their drinks in time to go watch the firework show on the balcony!
